Duct cleaning with industrial tank cleaners
Duct cleaning can be a challenging process as one has to deal with tight spaces, sharp turns and hard to reach areas. However, it is also an important step in order to avoid grease, mold, dust or bacteria building up, depending on what type of duct it is. Ikeuchi has developed a special type of industrial duct cleaner which can reach up to 5 meters in tight spaces.
Duct cleaning is especially important in the food industry as residues such as grease can build up and contaminate the air ducts or reduce their efficiency and lead to more smoke or damp. Manual duct cleaning is often time-consuming and leads to heavy water use, whereas an automatic tank cleaner can do the job much more efficiently. Duct cleaning is also commonly used in industries such as the chemical industry, paper and pulp, printing and the medical industry.
The RJ2-PON has been designed to retract the nozzle tip after the cleaning process has finished.
Ikeuchi’s automatic duct cleaner RJ2-PON has been designed to automatically retract after the cleaning has been finished. This will prevent any dirt from entering the spray nozzle and thereby increase its longevity and efficiency while minimizing maintenance needs. This makes the duct cleaner suitable for a permanent installation. Below a video can be seen of RJ2-PON in action.
By applying a pressure sensitive sensor film, the efficiency of RJ2-PON has been compared to other duct cleaning applications. The sensor can reveal the surface contact distribution and magnitude of pressure on its entire surface, which will be indicated by red patches. As can be seen on the illustration below, RJ2-PON provides a higher pressure over the entire surface compared to a competing product.
